A close friend of the family past away this weekend and the government is actually being helpful in trying to get me my social security benefits.

I have over five hundred movies and I wanted to watch the one that I got rid of. Anyone seen Timecop? It's a Van Damne vehicle.

What do you read? Romance? Science Fiction Fantasy? I like dark fiction and can't find enough of the good stuff. My favorites are by Simon R Green. He's awesome.

I don't agree with Forest Gump's mother: "Life is like a box of chocolate--you never know what you're gonna get." I think life is more like a grab bag. You to choose one as you're leaving the gate and you might like what you get as you pull things from the bag, but guarenteed, not all of it is going to make you happy. Granted, Mother Gump's saying is a whole lot easier.

Anyways. Life has been a little weird, a little stressful and a whole lot like that grab bag I was talking about. We've decided to move a lot sooner than Dad's plan called for and the people we were going to let rent our house may have to move in with us before that time because my Mom is so impatient to get our move on. BLAH all around.

Work is going . . . well. I'm talking about my writing here. I think I have unofficially given up writing Spuffy. But, when it comes to that stuff, I just never know.

I put up so many new Icons, I had a hard time choosing which one to use.

My head will not let me put my story problem out of my mind. It's all I can think about and I haven't been able to sleep properly because of it, either. Which doesn't help either. AARRGG! If you were an immortal trying to protect not only the human race, but someone he doesn't really want to have feelings for, only because its too dangerous, and trying to take down a large organization that despizied his kind, what would you have him do? Answer it if you will... I've been trying to since the end of August.

In other news, I'm going to be going back to school as soon as I can manage it and I don't think I like driving. That may be because the car feels too big or that I'm either sitting too tall/too low, depending on whether I have my pillow or a combination of both. I wish I knew.

A few days ago, I finished writing that book I'd been telling you that had kept me away for so long. I'm so happy about that because it's the first book I've written through to the end in about four or five years. Even better, it's also a book that's publishable. I'm just letting both myself and the book rest before I go over it. Need a little distance. Now, I'm working on the outline for the sequel to it.

Synopsis of the book I just finished: Ivan is an immortal working with a collilion of other immortals in a mafia like sect called The Group as a hitman. His transfer to being a Bounty Hunter isn't a smooth one. His last hit brings a familiar woman with a scar on her face and another that knows about the disappearance of Ivan's wife from more than 400yrs. earlier. His first mission as a Bounty Hunter has him saving the ruler of the Changeling people, who, instead of gratitude, gives him cryptic warnings.

Not even a day later, Ivan finds more than just his long lost love, but more demon vampires, a brother that betrayed him, a changeling with a case of mistaken indentity and his estranged son all in Corpus Christi. Ivan had only been driving through to pick up a weapon from a little shop he knows.

My legal name, not my user name. See, my full name is Jacqueline Lynne Bess. Everyone else in my family has the last name of Abbott, because my parents weren't married until I was six. I'm so excited. I use Abbott all the time anyways and then I can use it on my legel documents without everyone making a stupid fuss about it. :P So cool.

Oh, also, I graduated from my advanced by-mail writing course March 26th. More coolness.

Is anyone else a big fan of Kim Possible besides myself and my sister? I love the new season. It fits in perfectly with the movie. I've always thought they should be together, anyways.

I just got my assignment back from my instructor and she said that I've blown her away. That's just what I want to hear. I'm in a good mood. The only thing that I can see dampening is the fact that I have to do something that I'm not really ready for. FOr the last assignment of the course, I have to get together my submissions package. All that does is tease, however much its going to teach me. I don't want to think about the marketing of my book at this point. The book is still for me, not the audience yet.

Yeah! I just got back from a book signing with Stephanie Luarens--that was fun. I got five books signed. My sister keeps telling me to quite bragging. She gave a litle talk about writing and answered questions--I agreed with all of what she said.
